Excursion Sefrou, Ifrane and Azrou.
On this excursion we will visit Sefrou and its waterfalls, Bhalil and its caves, Ifrane and its European environment and Azrou and its cedar forest full of monkeys.
After picking you up at the Hotel or Riad at 9:00 am, we will head towards Sefrou, a small town located 30 kilometers southeast of Fez. The most interesting place is its waterfalls or take a short walk through its medina, divided by a Leaving behind Sefrou we will arrive at Bhalil, a beautiful mountain village famous for its houses built in caves. We can enter a private house for tea with mint.
The next stop will be Ifrane, one of the most curious cities in Morocco for its architecture and European atmosphere. In Ifrane you will find one of the most famous universities in the country and it is the preferred destination of the wealthiest Moroccans. To end the day we will visit the forest of cedars, famous for its the Great Cedar Gouraud, the largest millenary cedar of the region. In this forest live hundreds of monkeys of Gibraltar, if you want you can feed them.
We will return to Fez and we will leave you at the hotel (or wherever you want) between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Since our tours are private, there is no problem in modifying the itinerary to suit you. For example, if you do not have special interest in visiting Sefrou, you can have more time to spend in the lakes that we will see along the way.
Excursion Chaoen.
After picking up at the hotel or riad where you are staying first thing in the morning, we will head north until we reach the Rif area, where Chauen is, our destination.
Once in Chauen (also known as Xaouen or Chefchauen) you will have 5 hours of free time to tour the city at your leisure.
Inside the medina you can not miss the Uta el-Hammam square (the heart of the city and the ideal place to eat), the Great Mosque (with a curious octagonal tower) and the Kasbah (containing a garden, a museum and a art Gallery). Leaving the medina, the most famous point is the Ras El-Maa waterfall, where the sound of the water and the green hills provide a great dose of fresh air. If you keep walking, you will get a beautiful view of the city.
We will be back in Fez around 7:00 p.m. The tour will end in your accommodation or wherever you want.
Excursion Volubilis, Mulay Idris and Mekenes.
On this tour you will get to know three of the most amazing places in Morocco: Volúbilis, Mulay Idrís, and Meknes. It is an essential tour for anyone visiting Fez.
After picking you up at your hotel or riad at 9:00 o’clock, we can head west until we reach the ancient Roman city where the most important archaeological remains of Morocco are located.
In Volúbilis, you will have free time to visit the area. We will be here as long as you need, the normal is between 1 and 2 hours. After enjoying the impressive Roman remains we will go to Mulay Idris, one of the most important pilgrimage centers in Morocco. It is a small town where you can get to know the most interesting part of the medina in less than an hour.
The third stop will be Meknes, the most ‘humble’ of the Four Imperial Cities of Morocco. In Meknes you will have free time to eat and visit the most important places in the city, get into the souk or enjoy a coffee in the square. At the end we are going to Fez.
