This 10 days Morocco itinerary is designed to guide you through the very best places of this colorful and exotic country.
ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrival to Marrakech:
Pick up at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Free visit to the city of Marrakech, also known as ‘the red pearl of southern Morocco’. You will discover a city full of magic and very peculiar with a great diversity of places of great interest. You will visit: the Saadian tombs, El Badia Palace, El Mellah Quarter, Dar Si Said, Ben Yussef Madrasa, Marrakech Museum and Qoubba Almoravide, external visit of the Kutubia and the Menara gardens, Jema El Fna Square and its great souk Free lunch If you have time, in the afternoon you can go to the Majorelle gardens and the commercial district of the new city of Marrakech. Dinner and accommodation at the Riad or hotel in Marrakech.
Day 2: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate:
Breakfast and at 07:00 in the morning we left the city to the High Atlas climbing the Tizi n Tichka pass (2260m) to the hill and then down a magnificent valley full of almond trees and fig trees. We arrive at the city of Ait Benhaddou, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We visited the Kasbahs of Ait Benhaddou. We continue our journey to Ouarzazate where they will have lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit the Kasbah de Taourirt and the film studios. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel in Ouarzazate.
Day 3: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Kelaa M’gouna – Valle De Las Rosas – Dades:
After breakfast, we follow the route in 4 × 4 towards Dades. You will visit the Skoura Kasbah. They will go up by kelaa M’Gouna where they will be able to admire the magnificent Valley of the Roses which reaches its greatest splendor in the month of May and will reach Boulmane. Lunch on the way After, we continue through the valley of Dades until we reach the Gorges of Dades. Dinner and overnight at hotel or Kasbah to Dades.
Day 4: Dades – Toudra Gorges – Tinerhir:
We had breakfast and left for Todra. We will pass through the villages Ait Tega, Mcesid and Ait Tadra. We arrive at the Valley of Toudra and we will visit the Gorges of Toudra and Palmeral de Tinerhir. Afterwards, we continue until we reach the city of Tinerhir where they will have lunch. In the afternoon, free visit of the city. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel at Tinerhir.
Day 5: Toudra – Tnjdad – Touroug – Erfoud – The Dunes Of Merzouga:
After breakfast, we continue the journey in 4 × 4 towards the desert of Merzouga. We make several stops to rest and contemplate the most striking landscapes. We will go through the palm groves of Tinjdad and Touroug and continue to Erfoud. There, we will visit the production workshop of marble and fossils. Finally, we arrive at Merzouga, where we will take a track that will take us to the desert gates. There, our camels will take you to the heart of the Sahara desert. Already, in the desert, climb to the dunes or simply wait for the sunset. Dinner under the light of the stars (Itran) and the moon (Ayur), show of music and dance of the hands of the men who live in the desert and lodging in typical Berber jaimas.
Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Tazzarine – Zagora:
Magnificent opportunity to contemplate the beautiful spectacle of sunrise over a sea of dunes. Breakfast in the desert and departure to Zagora. During the journey we have small stops to take a tea or take some pictures. Free lunch on the way. We pass through Rissani, holy city, where the ruins of an important city called Siyilmassa that was famous for its dates, its roses and fruit trees. Then, through Tazzarine and we arrive in Zagora, a city known for being the starting point of the great expeditions through the Sahara. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel in Zagora.
Day 7: Zagora – Agdz – Tazenakht – Taliouine – Taroudant:
Breakfast and we leave Zagora through the Draa Valley, the largest in Morocco, towards Agdz, Tazenakht, Taliouine, Aoulouz to finally reach Taroudant. Free lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight at Taroudant hotel.
Day 8: Taroudant – Agadir – Essaouira:
After breakfast, we leave the city of Taroudant towards Essaouira. Lunch on the way We will pass through Agadir, Taghazout and continue to the coastal city of Essaouira where we will arrive around 3:00 p.m. First approach to this picturesque city. You will be able to visit one of the most beautiful coastal medinas of Morocco, bordered by a great wall of rock with battlements and cannons, sentry boxes and turrets. This wall hides alleys full of shops of all kinds. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel in Essaouira.
Day 9: Essaouira – Marrakech:
We had breakfast at the hotel. Free morning to continue with the visit of the city. They will be able to approach the area of the port. You will find large fishing boats, blue boats for inshore fishing, fishermen fixing nets, bollas and other fishing tools and the fish market. Free lunch, we recommend that you do it in the typical fresh fish bars that are near the port. In the early afternoon, we return to Marrakech where they will arrive at 6:00 p.m. We recommend you, a panoramic view at sunset from Jema El Fna Square from any of the terraces that are in the vicinity to contemplate the lighting of the thousands of lights that crown the posts of the square. Dinner and overnight at the Riad Hotel in Marrakech.
Day 10: Marrakech – Transfer to the Airport:
Breakfast. If you have some free time before the transfer to the airport, you can conclude the visit to the city or complete shopping in the souk. Afterwards, transfer to Marrakech Airport two hours before the scheduled departure time for the flight to the city of origin. THE END OF THE TRIP.
